Your job?

Test group is part of the Machine and Technology team, which provides testing infrastructure and resources to Machine and Technology team members as well as R&D team to validate and quantify design of components and assemblies related to SABs (Structured Adsorbent Bed) and RAMs (Rotary Adsorbent Machine).

Testing technician’s role mainly involves fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of test equipment, as well as preparation of test samples, as prioritized by Test Group Lead. This role will also support Test Group Lead toward building a Testing Centre of Excellence. Testing technician is responsible for a well-equipped fabrication and prototyping shop, to make sure it is following Svante’s journey toward a Lean organization.

Your main Duties will be:

  • Support testing team in fabrication and preparation of test samples
  • Procurement of all tools and materials needed for fabrication, assembly, and testing
  • Follow test procedures to perform tests, using testing equipment and measurement instruments
  • Properly document test records, results, and data, and summarize them into test reports
  • Troubleshoot and perform and document preventative maintenance of test equipment
  • Participate in development of new test equipment and mock-ups
  • Contribute to Svante’s Lean culture by participating in daily improvements and practicing 5S
  • Collaborate with engineering team in maintaining a safe and clean fabrication shop and testing center.

You?

Enjoy working in a hands-on environment utilizing different tools and working with equipment. You have experience using Mill and Lathe machines and well as CNC equipment. You enjoy working in collaborative teams and espouse are Svante values and believe in our Goals and Objectives. You have Mechanical, Millwright, Electrical or other relevant work experience.
