Watch our President & CEO, Claude Letourneau, speak about the important role carbon management will play in the energy transition with the Wall Street Journal in a webinar from the Dow Jones Energy & Sustainability Issue Briefing Series. See the webinar program below to learn more.
PROGRAM
Opening Remarks
Gunjan Banerji, Lead Writer, Live Markets, The Wall Street Journal
Curbing Smokestack Emissions
Facilities run by energy, cement and other industrial companies aim to reduce their climate impact by capturing carbon dioxide rather than releasing it into the atmosphere. Svante has created technology and equipment to make this possible. Learn about Svante’s approach and the potential impact on net zero.

What to Do With CO2
Once carbon is captured the question becomes what to do with it. Some projects plan to reuse the CO2. Many other carbon-capture initiatives envision storing, or sequestering, CO2 over a long term underground or under the sea. Examine the science behind sequestration — and concerns that surround both storage and reuse.

Pulling CO2 From the Sky
Removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere would help the world limit climate change. Climeworks runs the world’s only commercial direct air carbon-capture facility, which can remove 4,000 metric tons of carbon each year. Hear about the company’s technology and plans for another facility 10 times bigger.
